Homo Conexus

The human perspective that forms the foundation of my work.

The text below describes the human perspective that forms the foundation of everything I do.
It offers a way of looking at being human, leadership and technology — not as separate domains, but as deeply connected.

This perspective shapes my keynotes, conversations and collaborations with organizations.

Homo Conexus EN
Be more human

An invitation to embrace humanity in the age of AI

In a world where technology can do more and more, another question becomes increasingly urgent:
what makes us human?

Not our speed.
Not our intelligence.
But our capacity and our need to connect.

With ourselves.
With others.
With the larger whole in which we live and work.

That conviction lies at the heart of Homo Conexus.

Being human in a changing context

Homo Conexus is a vision of being human in a world that is changing.
Not as a reaction to technology, but as a deepening of it.

Precisely because technology takes over more and more tasks, space opens up to explore what makes us uniquely human. Connection proves to be not a side effect, but a core quality — for individuals, for organizations, and for leadership.

Homo Conexus does not place technology at the center, but in context.
People remain the starting point.

Connection as a compass

Within Homo Conexus, connection is central on multiple levels:

  • connection with oneself
  • connection with others
  • connection with the larger whole in which we operate

These forms of connection are not abstract ideals, but decisive for how we work, collaborate, lead and experience meaning.

When connection comes under pressure, unrest, fragmentation and a loss of direction emerge.
When it is strengthened, space opens up for clarity, responsibility and movement.

From vision to conversation

Homo Conexus is not a method or a step-by-step approach.
It is a view of humanity that provides direction for how we look at, think about, and speak about people and technology.

In my keynotes, this vision functions as an undercurrent.
Not to explain, but to open the right conversation.

About:

  • being human in a time of acceleration

  • leadership that connects instead of accelerates

  • technology as a means, not a measure

Homo Conexus offers language and perspective to engage in these conversations, without closing them down.

Relation to my work

This vision forms the foundation of my keynotes, publications and conversations with organizations.
Not as a standalone concept, but as a guiding framework.

Those who follow my work or attend a keynote do not step into a model, but into a way of seeing.
An invitation to place being human back at the center, especially as the context continues to change.
The Homo Conexus vision is also the foundation of EmpoweringPeople, where we offer development programmes for organizations.

Book Margôt to bring a fresh perspective

My keynotes provide a strategic opening for organizations that value their employees and want to engage everyone in future steps involving AI. You see, the problem with AI is not the technology itself, but the view of humanity that lies beneath it.
